It's amazing how much bigger a car can look with some added ride height and body paneling....ok, and a very slight hill.

A neighbour's Outback 2.5XT in the foreground, my Legacy GT parked in front of it.

Always liked the previous generations Legacy in the GT trim. The new legacy subie doesn't even offer a non Outback station wagon. Not a fan of newer generations styling as well looks so bloated compared to the previous generations more athletic look.

Agreed, the newer cars are way too big and bloated - plus I was lucky enough to find one with a manual transmission. The newer outbacks are pretty much full-sized SUVs at this point, I think it'd be nice if they offered something wagon-wise between the impreza and the outback (since the impreza hasn't really had a true wagon for a while either).

The first time I saw this generation's outback, I thought it was the new forester or some other new subie suv. Shame how in my opinion, screwed up a good design and made it look terribly bloated. Even the 2015 prototype looks bloated but has the potential of looking better than the current gen.
